Комплект заданий для ШЭ олимпиады

по английскому языку в 5-6 классах

Методическая разработка представляет собой варианты олимпиадных заданий по английскому языку для ШЭ в 5-6 классах. Каждый вариант содержит задания по 4-м видам речевой деятельности: аудированию, чтению, письму и говорению. Задания предназначены для подготовки обучающихся к участию в олимпиадах по английскому языку, а также для повышения мотивации к дальнейшему изучению английского языка.

Включает в себя два варианта олимпиадных заданий ШЭ, ответы к заданиям.

Рекомендуется ученикам 5-6 классов, а также учителям английского языка, работающим в 5-6 классах общеобразовательных школ.

Введение

Английский язык в 21-м веке стал глобальным языком. На нём разговаривают на всех континентах нашей планеты. Он является главным языком международного общения.

Данная методическая разработка является эффективным средством выявления наиболее подготовленных, одарённых учащихся, проявивших интерес к предмету «Английский язык».

Актуальность методической разработки состоит в том, что олимпиада способствует развитию у обучающихся интереса к самостоятельному изучению языка путём чтения специальной литературы, работы со словарями, справочниками, энциклопедиями, выполнением лексико-грамматических упражнений и т. п.

Разработка содержит задания для учащихся 5-6 классов по аудированию, чтению, письму (лексике и грамматике, написанию письма), говорению.

Целью методической разработки является подготовка обучающихся к участию в олимпиадах по английскому языку. Она ставит перед собой следующие задачи:

- в области аудирования – совершенствование умения слушать аутентичные тексты с пониманием общей идеи, а также с извлечением информации и с детальным пониманием. Формы заданий: выбор одного правильного ответа из 4-х предложенных, установление справедливости утверждений, установление соответствия (отбор логических пар);

- в области чтения – познакомить учащихся с форматом текстов, совершенствовать умение читать аутентичные тексты с пониманием общей идеи, а также с извлечением информации и с детальным пониманием. Формы заданий: выбор названия текста из предложенных, установление логического порядка простого текста, заполнение пропусков (выбор правильного ответа из 4-х предложенных), вопросы с краткими ответами;

- в области письма предусмотрено 2 части – использование лексики и грамматики (закрытая форма) и написание письма (открытая форма). Формы заданий: текст с пропусками для заполнения, выбор одного правильного ответа из 4-х предложенных, задание открытой формы, где нужно правильно оформить и логически изложить свои мысли в форме письма согласно предложенной коммуникативной ситуации;

- в области говорения – сформировать связное высказывание, содержание и форма которого определяется конкретной предложенной тематикой общения. Ответы должны быть полными, исчерпывающими и конкретными, лексически насыщенными, правильно фонетически и грамматически оформленными. Объём ответа может быть разный, но он должен свидетельствовать, что ученик правильно понимает вопросы и правильно строит высказывание.

Каждое задание расширяет эрудицию обучающихся, их лингвистический и общий кругозор.

Пользоваться текстом, учебником, другим пособием или справочником во время выполнения олимпиадного задания не разрешается.

Методическая разработка будет полезна, на мой взгляд, как ученикам 5-6 классов, так и учителям английского языка 5-6 классов для подготовки учащихся к школьному этапу олимпиады.

Once upon a time there was a man who had often travelled to foreign lands, and on returning to his own country boasted very much of the many wonderful and heroic acts he had performed in different places he had visited.

Among other things, he said that when he was at Rhodes he had leaped to such a distance that no man of his day could leap anywhere near him as to that, there were many persons in Rhodes who saw how he did it and whom he could call as witnesses.

However, one of the people who were standing by, interrupted him saying: «Now, my good man, if this all be true there is no need of witnesses. Suppose this to be Rhodes, and leap for us». The man felt ashamed and confused as he certainly couldn’t do that.

And the people around said: «He who does a thing well does not need to boast».

Nasreddin and the Smell of Soup

One day, a poor man, who had only one piece of bread to eat, was walking past a restaurant. There was a large pot of soup on the table. The poor man held his bread over the soup, so the steam from the soup went into the bread and gave it a good smell.

Then he ate the bread. The restaurant owner was very angry at this and he asked the man for money, in exchange for the steam from the soup. The poor man had no money, so the restaurant owner took him to Nasreddin, who was a judge at that time. Nasreddin thought about the case for a little while.

Then he took some money from his pocket. He held the coins next to the restaurant owner’s ear and shook them, so that they made a jingling noise.

«What was that?» asked the restaurant owner.

«That was payment for you», answered Nasreddin.

«What do you mean? That was just the sound of coins!» protested the restaurant owner.

«The sound of the coins is payment for the smell of the soup», answered Nasreddin. «Now go back to your restaurant».

My name is Jane and my hobby is painting. I like to paint animals and flowers, but I’m not good at painting people. Most of all I enjoy painting the places I visit. I love Halloween. It’s on the 31st of October and this night witches fly through the air on their broomsticks. We always have a party.

My little brother, Michael, makes a funny face in a pumpkin. When it is dark, we put a candle inside the pumpkin. We always wear a fancy dress at our Halloween party. I love wearing my witch costume. I wear my mother’s long black dress and a tall pointed hat. I also have a broomstick. Michael usually wears a big white sheet and becomes a ghost. He runs around the house and shouts, “Ooooooooh!”

The party starts at seven o’clock. My friends all come in a fancy dress. This year we’ve got five witches, three ghosts and one vampire! We play Halloween games. For example, we try to eat the apples which are in a big bowl of water, and we can’t touch them with our hands. It’s very difficult! And of course we have lots of sausages and crisps to eat.
