Тема урока: «Проблемы окружающей среды»
Форма урока: комбинированный урок

Цель урока:
совершенствование коммуникативных навыков учащихся по теме «Проблемы окружающей среды».

Задачи:

Учебные: активизировать употребление лексико-грамматического материала по теме; совершенствовать навыки диалогической речи; работы в группах, обучать аудированию с использованием видеофрагмента;Развивающие: развивать навыки устной речи, аудирования, письма; иноязычную коммуникативную компетенцию обучающихся; социокультурную компетенцию обучающихся, активность, способность к анализу, обобщению и формированию собственных выводов, навыки логического и последовательного оформления своих мыслей на английском языке, зрительную, долговременную и оперативную память, языковую догадку. Воспитательные: формировать гражданскую компетенцию учащихся и активную позиции по отношению к защите окружающей среды; воспитывать чувство сострадания, толерантности, взаимопомощи.

Формы работы: фронтальная, парная, индивидуальная, групповая.

Методы и приёмы работы: организационные методы, коммуникативный метод, аудиовизуальный метод, диалог; приёмы технологии развития критического мышления:

Оборудование:

компьютер, мультимедийный проектор, экран, презентация урока, запись видео фрагмента, видеоклип и аудиозапись к песне “Earth Song”, видеофильмы "Wonderful world”, "Environmental problems”. Дидактический материал: карточки с фразам.раздаточный дидактический материал, компьютерные презентации проектов обучающихся.

I. Организационный этап

Teacher:Goodmorningboysandgirls.I’m glad to see you. How are you?
Pupils: Good morning. We are glad to see you too. We are fine.

Teacher: Look at the screen. Read the sounds and the words.
Pupils: [e] – environment, protect, protest

[k] – cut down, pick up, protection, container
[i] – ecology, environment, litter, region, river

Teacher: Look at the words on the screen. Guess the topic of our lesson. Pupils: We are going to speak about environmental problems.

T: You are quite right. At this lesson we are going to discuss global environmental problems, natural disasters and we will try to answer the question: “What can we do to protect our environment and to save our precious planet?”

It’s a wonderful world we live in. It is our Earth. For thousands of years the Earth has given support to all forms of life – human beings, animals, birds, fish, insects and plants. But now people all over the world think about our planet. They say our planet is in danger.Listen to the song.

Our planet is in trouble.

We hear it every day.

And yet, we all continue

To throw it all away.

We’re threatening our future,

Endangering our lives.

If we don’t take some action,

Our planet won’t survive.

We have very serious environmental problems on our Earth.

2.Работаслексикой.

Teacher: Now let’s watch the first video. After watching it you should give your associations.
Pupils: Beautiful forests, clean rivers, green grass, fresh air…

Now I’d like you to watch one more video and then give your associations again.
Pupils: Polluted rivers, cutting down the forests, a lot of litter…
We have very serious environmental problems on our Earth.

Who can say what these problems are?

P1: One of the problems is air pollution.

P2: I think the next global problem is water pollution.

P3: A lot of animals, birds and plants are disappearing now. To my mind, it’s a very serious problem.

P4: Another problem is overpopulation. Nowadays there are too many people on the Earth, so the pollution of it becomes higher and higher.

P5: And we have also such a problem as destruction of natural resources. For example, every year more and more trees are cut down.

III.Учебно-познавательная деятельность.
1.Работа с лексикой.
Teacher: Look at the screen again. Now you task is to finish the sentences. (Приложение 1.)
Pupils: P1: We live in a beautiful world.
P2: We should fight against air pollution.
P3: We can help the environment if we plant trees.

2. Работанадпредложениямипотеме.
Teacher: I think you’ve already learnt the environmental problems and the ways of their solutions. Now Answer the questions. (Приложение 2.)

1. Do we live in a wonderful world?
2. Why do millions of animals die every year?
3. Why is the country air not clean and fresh?
4. Are there a lot of fish in the rivers?
5. Are the forests disappearing all over the world?
6. What can we see at the seaside?
7. Is it an international disaster?
8. Must people help the world ?
9. Do you want to live the clean world?

Pupils: P1: Millions of animals die every year because people cut down the forests.
P2: We can see a lot of litter at the seaside.

Teacher: What do you think? Can we help our environment? Ask your classmates.
Pupils: P1: What can we do to help our environment?
P2: To help our nature we can plant trees.

IV. Интеллектуально-преобразовательная деятельность.

1.Работа с фотографиями города.
Teacher: I see that you know ecological problems of our country. What can you say about our town?
Now watch Sasha’s presentation and name them.
Pupils: We also have environmental problems.
P1: a lot of litter.
P2: polluted pond.

2.Работасфразами.
Teacher: I think people can help the nature. Do you agree?
Match the parts of the sentences to find out the solution of the ecological problems.(Приложение 3)
Pupils: Yes, we do.
P1:The environment would be cleaner if we took care of our planet.
P2: We would save animals if we plant more new forests.

3.Работавгруппах.
Teacher: Now I’d like you to make groups. The task for each group will be to write an advertisement for students from our school about organizing "A clean up day” at our school.

Учащиеся формируют группы и пишут объявления о проведении санитарного часа по уборке территории школы. Учащимся следует употребить как грамматические, так и лексические единицы пройденного материала.
Thank you for your incredible work today. Your home task will be to write about one of the ecological problem of our city and how to solve it.

Conclusion
