In the description of the Australian people often talk about the uniqueness of a particular fact. Even the location of Australia is the only country in the world, occupying the territory of the whole continent. The largest island of Tasmania lies south of the continent. The official name of the country is Australian alliance. The fauna and flora of Australia is so amazing, that will leave you an unforgettable experience! Neighbours in Australia are New Zealand, East Timor, Papua - New Guinea, Indonesia, Vanuatu, Solomon Islands and New Caledonia.
The capital of Australia is Canberra, artificially created city. Thanks to the sophisticated planning that takes into account features of the landscape, the city entered the textbooks as an example of urban planning. Canberra is subject to a management, there is the House of Parliament, offices of various institutions and parties. The capital of Australia is tiny, here lives 380 000 people, you can see the whole city in one day.
The colors and images on the flag of Australia have the following meanings. Blue color means loyalty, honesty, kindness, perfection, immutability, simplicity and chastity. According to one version, it is a symbol of the ocean. The flag of Great Britain is a symbol of the past state, when Australia was part of the British colonies. Also at the time of the flag's creation, loyalty to the British Empire was implied. Seven-pointed star-represents the seven territories of the members of the Australian Union.

For the locals it’s also a nice way to spend a weekend.
One of the most attractive parts of the country is rimmed by the Blue Mountains. It’s a picturesque mountainous region located less than two hours from Sydney by road or train. Some people call this Australian attraction Three Sisters Rocks. Composed of sandstone hills, the area is famous for its deep valleys and the mountains that rise to 1,190 meters above sea level. The largest part of these mountains is included into the World Heritage as a valuable nature reserve. The area around the Blue Mountains houses today up to seven national parks. It’s a perfect holiday destination not only for nature lovers, but also for families and adventure seekers.
Sydney Aquarium is the place where all children and adults who visit this city want to go in the first place. It’s a public institution which contains a large variety of aquatic life specific for Australian coastline. There are more than thirteen thousand fishes and other water creatures. The Aquarium was established in 1988 and can be defined as quite an old one, but it still looks fantastic and attracts thousands of visitors each year. It is located in the very heart of Sydney at Darling Harbor. The Australian architects designed the building to look like a huge wave. Inside it consists of fourteen themed zones, including a tropical Bay of Rays, Shark Walk and Great Barrier Reef display.
