Aleksey (Abdulla) Abdurakhmanovich Kurbanov ( 1925 - 2004 ) - sniper of the 282nd Guards Rifle Regiment (92nd Guards Rifle Division, 37th Army, Steppe Front) of the Guards Red Army soldier of the Workers 'and Peasants' Red Army , participant of the Great Patriotic War , Hero of the Soviet Union ( 1944 ).       

Biography

Born on February 23, 1925 in the village of Niyazbash (now - Yangiyul district of Tashkent region of Uzbekistan).         

Graduated from high school. In March 1943, having attributed to himself 2 years at the age of 16, Alexey was called up to serve in the Workers 'and Peasants' Red Army. Since September of the same year - on the fronts of the Great Patriotic War. He fought on the Kalinin and Leningrad fronts. In the army he became Alexei.   

By September 1943, the Red Army soldier Aleksey Kurbanov was a sniper of the 282nd Guards Rifle Regiment of the 92nd Guards Rifle Division of the 37th Army of the Steppe Front . He distinguished himself during the battle for the Dnieper . In the period from September 30 to October 17, 1943, participating in the battles for seizing and holding a bridgehead on the western bank of the Dnieper near the village of Deriyevka, Onufriyevsky district of the Kirovograd region of the Ukrainian SSR, he destroyed more than 150 enemy soldiers and officers with sniper fire.

By the decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of February 22, 1944, the Red Army soldier Aleksey Kurbanov was awarded the high title of Hero of the Soviet Union with the Order of Lenin and the Gold Star medal.                

In 1944, Kurbanov was demobilized. From March 1944, he underwent further treatment at home. In September 1944 he entered the Tashkent Law Institute. Upon graduation in 1947, he received the qualification of a lawyer of the 3rd class, and was awarded the title of Captain of Justice. In 1947 he joined the VKP (b) / KPSS. For three years he worked as an assistant to the prosecutor of the Frunzensky district of the city of Tashkent.

In August 1950, at his own request, he was transferred by the director of the school No. 14 named after Ilyich of the Niyazbash village council, which he himself graduated from. He graduated from the Tashkent Pedagogical Institute named after Nizami in absentia. He led the school until his retirement in 1968.

He lived in the village of the Lenin collective farm in the Yangiyul district. Died on July 28, 2004.
