Темаурока: To be a successful person – your choice in life.
Задачи урока:
1. Развивать умение использовать активную лексику по теме.
2. Практиковать учащихся в умении:
- делать краткие сообщения о людях, достигших много путем собственных усилий;
- выражать свое отношение к прочитанному;
- использовать изученные грамматические структуры для построения микровысказываний;
- формировать представления о культурных особенностях страны, своего края, познакомить с известными людьми.
Ход урока:
I.Этап.Оргмомент.
1)речевая зарядка (мотивирующее коммуникативное задание).
- Good-morning everybody. Let’s begin our lesson now. What is the date today? What is the day of the week? What is the weather like today? Do you like such weather? How are you getting on?

2) ознакомление обучающихся с темой, целью и задачами урока.
-Lets watch some video. Try to tell the topic of the lesson.
-Yes? You are right. It is success. But think once more, please.
We should train our brains. So I suggest continuing an unknown statement:
Success doesn’t come to you…you… (go to it). It said Marta Collins? A famous American businesswoman. So what is the topic of our lesson? Ok. “How to be a famous and successful person?”
And what is the aim of the lesson? (Объявить цели после того как учащиеся выразили предположения) Themainaimsofthelessonare:
to get more information about famous successful people; to found out how to be successful.
We will read, write, translate, speak English.

- Success is a vehicle which moves on a wheel called “Hard work” but the journey is impossible without fuel called “Self-confidence. Do you agree with me? Listen and repeat after me some statements about success and successful people. Translate them.

1.We have been discussing this topic for several lessons and I suppose that you have some conclusions (thoughts) about a person who is successful. Read the statements “A successful person is a person..” and say: Agree (+) or disagree (-)?

…who succeeds in something by his efforts.
…who shares something he has with other people.
…who is creative.
…who achieves the goal through his friends.

John Lennon
John Winston Ono Lennon was best known as a singer, songwriter, poet and guitarist for the British rock band The Beatles. His creative career also included the roles of solo musician, political activist, artist, actor and author.
John Winston Lennon was born on October 9, 1940, to a troubled, working-class Liverpool family. Both of his parents had musical backgrounds. After his parents' divorce Lennon lived with his aunt and her husband.
John Lennon was accepted into the Liverpool College of Art. He didn't enjoy studying there and ultimately dropped out. He instead devoted himself to music, inspired by American Rock 'n' Roll and singers like Elvis Presley, Chuck Berry and Buddy Holly. Lennon started playing rock 'n' roll in a band, which was later called The Beatles.
Lennon had a profound influence on rock and roll and in expanding the genre's boundaries during the 1960s. He is widely considered, along with songwriting partner Paul McCartney, as one of the most influential singer-songwriter-musicians of the 20th century.
John Lennon decided to quit the Beatles in 1970. Of the four former Beatles, Lennon had perhaps the most varied recording career.
Lennon was tragically killed in 1980 by the obsessed fan named Chapman. He fired five bullets. One bullet missed, but four bullets entered Lennon's back and shoulder.
