1ведущий: Dear boys and girls and our guests, thank you for coming to our party.
Today we’ll honor the memory of William Shakespeare, the greatest poet and playwright of Great Britain. The 23-rd of April is the proposal date of his birth and death.
Today his memory is glorified. His poems and sonnet are recited, his dramas and tragedies are performed at the famous theatres of the world. And we are going to speak about William Shakespeare and recite poems and sonnets written by him.
2ведущий: Why is Shakespeare’s poetry so loved by people?
There is not any person who doesn’t know his tragedies «Romeo and Juliet», «Hamlet» etс. What did he write about?
Ученик 1: He wrote about love, humanism. He devoted his poems, sonnets to his friends. They are full of advices and devotions.
1ведущий: Thank you! Now read some quotations about poets and poetry.

1ведущий: There are a lot of arguments about his existence. More has been written about W. Sh. than about any writer that ever lived.

2ведущий: His first poem is “Age and Youth”.
3 ученик: Читает наизусть стих.

Choose the author as you choose a friend.
Books and friends should be few but good.
2ведущий: What do you know about Globe theatre?
4 ученик: по картине рассказывает о театре.
1ведущий: Do you know how many sonnets did W. Sh. write.
5ученик: (154). They are divided into 3 groups.
1-126 are devoted to his friend. He glorified his friend in them.
127-152 are devoted to his beloved woman of black complexion.
In sonnets 153-154 happiness and the beauty of love is glorified.
2ведущий: There are only 3 persons in the sonnets: his friend, a woman and a poet. There are full of harmony between a person and nature. There are only 14 lines in them.
1ведущий: Before reading imagine the picture of the sonnet in front of your eyes and they will reach your heart.
Уч-ся читает сонеты на английском и в переводе Маршака.
2ведущий: W. Sh. gave us a lot of quotations. We use them in our speech.
Here there are parts of them try to match them.
