APPEARANCE TEACHER – EDUCATOR AND HIS IMAGE IN SCHOOL SYSTEM OF INTERACTION
Annotation: the article discusses the definitions of "image", "image of a teacher". An explanation of the concept of imageology is given. The negative and positive attitude of teachers to the image is described.
Key words: "image-image", "external image", "internal image", "image-teacher", "image", "imageology".
Image-image, a set of surface parameters of a person that lead or accentuate a unique feature of an individual. And invariably shows individuality, appearing by its external, turned on other people, side. In a certain way, the image is the desire to look in the eyes of others and to influence them, to try to correct the movement of your body, position, manner of communication, to choose accessories that are used on a daily basis. Of course, we take into account certain features of those for whom it is designed: age characteristics, gender, social status, interests and needs of people. Of course, you need to know the specifics of the sphere in which this image will "work": a business conference, a student audience, a school class, etc. But within each of these spheres, it has its own characteristics. Accordingly, a method of influence is formed - shocking or confidential, mysteriously detached or accessible.
Modern children, just like their parents, take quite seriously the external image of the teacher. For children, the first to teach is the ideal to which they strive to be equal. The demand for activity in today's educational institutions presupposes that teachers research methods and means of improving their reputation and authority in the eyes of others. And you can't do without consciously building your professional external image. The image of a teacher is an emotionally colored standard for assessing the image of a teacher in the understanding of pupils, employees, social environment, in the numerous consciousness. When creating the image of a teacher, the actual properties are directly intertwined with those attributed to him by those around him.
The inner image is the teacher's culture, simplicity and freedom, charisma, emotionality, imagination, elegance, the return path of posing and solving problems, combined vision, sudden bright moves in the lesson scenario, inner disposition to creativity, self-control in public and many other components [1, с.18].
The external image is a special form of manifestation of one's attitude to the material, the transfer of one's emotional attitude to reality, possession of the skill of self-presentation, bringing students to the game level, skillful direction of the entire course of the lesson [1, с.18].
The appearance of a teacher in the halo of a person creating his own image made it possible to talk about the emergence of a new branch of imageology - pedagogical imageology. When forming the teacher's image, the existing qualities are organically intertwined with those properties that are attributed by the people around them [5, с.99].
Imageology seeks and finds the most effective methods, ways and means of influencing its audience; therefore, the most significant and important are the following: positioning, manipulation, emotionalization, detailing, metaphorization, emphasizing information, verbalization, visualization, distancing, public opinion polling, and the introduction of perception models, neurolinguistics programming and others [2, с.22].
The attitude of the teachers themselves to the image is different. Those representatives of the older generation of teachers who understand him as a “mask” have a negative attitude towards him. They are convinced of the priority of internal content over external and believe that the main thing is “to be, not to seem”. However, supporters of this position forget that one of the results of the teacher's perception by the student is the formation of the teacher's image. Every teacher has an image, regardless of his personal views on this topic.
There is another side too - a teacher who is engaged in creating his own image not only looks better, but also feels better, is more confident, and as a result, works more successfully.
The teacher's image contains the following structural components: individual and personal qualities, communicative, features of professional activity and behavior. It is possible to talk about the teacher's image and the situational embodiment of his image.
Pedagogical authority largely depends on the general culture of the teacher's behavior (ability to master speech, facial expressions and gestures, tidiness in a suit, etc.). The appearance of the teacher and his culture of behavior greatly affect the teacher's gaining authority. The best teachers in the classroom come in a good suit, constantly look after themselves, and are always smart and organized. By personal example, they bring up the same qualities in their pupils.
Schoolchildren love neatness in a suit, smartness and culture in behavior. Nothing escapes their attentive gaze. In the case when the teacher does not take care of himself, discipline is violated in the class, with his arrival in the class, unflattering responses, whispering, and laughter are heard.
Thus, one of the important qualities of a teacher is his image, which forms his authority and contributes to the influence on the consciousness of students.
