Задачи
Обучающие:
Учить учащихся правильно строить предложения на английском языке по теме, организовать практику устной речи на английском языке.
Познакомить учащихся с некоторыми традициями и обычаями празднования Рождества в Великобритании.
Способствовать формированию у учащихся навыков социолингвистической и лингвострановедческой компетенций.
Развивающие:
Развивать творческую фантазию, познавательный интерес, инициативу в осуществлении иноязычной речевой деятельности.
Развивать межпредметную связь.
Воспитательные:
Воспитывать у учащихся чувство прекрасного и уважение к культуре и традициям других народов.
Воспитывать чувство взаимной ответственности, прививать навыки работы в коллективе.

I. Teacher: Good morning, dear boys and girls. I'm glad to see you! Today we will learn a lot about one British holiday. But I don’t tell you the name of this holiday. You’ll do the task , and then, you’ll tell me, what we are going to talk about. Look at the blackboard, please. You can see nine squares of different colours with the letters.
Open your copybooks, write the date (what date is it today?), write the day (what day of week is it today?), write classwork,
I will call you the colors of the squares, and you will write down the letters that you see on the squares. If you do the task correctly, you will get and read the word.
OK. Let's start.

What is it? (Christmas) Yes, it is the most interesting, the most important, the most beautiful, and of course, the most favourite holiday.
So, what shall we do at the lesson? (read, write, sing, play.........)
Let's revise the words about Christmas. Work in pairs.
One of you ask the question- What's this? and another look at the screen and answer.
II. 1. I give you the sheets of paper. Do the task - What’s the word? Write the word under the pictures. You have 2 minutes.
Your time is over. Look at the screen and check your answers. Take your pencils and tick + or-. Please, read the words all together.
Who has no mistakes? Raise your hands - your mark is "5" , who has 1-2 mistakes- "4", more than 2 - "3".
2. Let’s watch a video how British families celebrate Christmas and do the task.
Take the sheets and write the missing words in the sentences.
You can use the missing words in your first sheet of paper.
I'll give you 3 minutes.
(Teacher: Who can't do the task, on your desks you have texts about Christmas. You can use it.)
Your time is over. Exchange your sheets with each other.
Look at the screen and check your answers. Please, read the sentences one by one.
Take your pencils and tick + or -.

Физкультминутка. Do you know, who gives presents for British children? (Santa is his name.)
Stand up, please. Let's relax and have a short musical rest.
III. CRISTMAS CARD. I think you know a lot of interesting things about Christmas traditions in Great Britain. All children like to write letters to Santa Claus, but today we try to make a Christmas card.
Work in groups. Take your pictures, cut them with the scissors and glue them on your card. Then turn the card and write the congratulations to your friend.

Read your card. ( We shall present them on Monday)
IV. Now, stand up, please. Take your red hats and put them on your head. Then take your crackers. Come here and make a circle. Let's sing a song "Merry Christmas" and pass your crackers.
